Three Hunterdon Choral Alliance Ensembles to Compete in Mid-Atlantic District Barbershop Convention

The Hunterdon Choral Alliance will proudly send three of its choral ensembles to compete at the Mid-Atlantic District Northern Division Convention, where top barbershop singers from across the region will gather for a weekend of competition and harmony.

 

Representing the organization will be the Hunterdon HarmonizersEvolution in Harmony and Mixtape A CappellaEach group will perform for a panel of judges evaluating musicality, performance, and vocal harmony.

 

The convention is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, an international organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the uniquely American art form of barbershop harmony. Competitors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region will gather for the event, showcasing their talents and celebrating the tradition of a cappella singing.

“This competition is an exciting opportunity for our singers to represent Hunterdon County and share their love of harmony with audiences across the region,” said a spokesperson for the Hunterdon Choral Alliance. “Our members have been working hard to prepare and are thrilled to perform alongside some of the best barbershop singers in the Mid-Atlantic.”

 

The Mid-Atlantic District Northern Division Convention is open to the public and will be held April 17-18 at 34 Grayrock Road, Clinton Township Middle School in NJ. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online by searching for MAD Northern Division Convention 2026 in Eventbrite.

 

The Hunterdon Choral Alliance is a nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to promoting a cappella music, education, and community engagement through performance. Hunterdon Harmonizers, Vocal Synergy, and Evolution in Harmony along with several smaller ensembles are the performance groups make up the Hunterdon Choral Alliance. These ensembles are available for hire and regularly presents concerts and outreach programs throughout the region.
