Position Overview
The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Membership & Business Development Representative to help grow and strengthen our membership base. This is a part-time, commission-driven role ideal for a self-starter who enjoys networking, building relationships, and telling the story of why Chamber membership matters.

This position offers flexible scheduling and the ability to set your own hours, making it a great opportunity for an experienced professional, consultant, or someone looking to supplement their income while staying connected to the local business community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively recruit new Chamber members through outreach, networking, and relationship-building
  • Promote the value and benefits of Chamber membership to businesses and organizations throughout Hunterdon County
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing members
  • Attend Chamber events and community functions as needed to support membership development
  • Track outreach activity and report progress to Chamber leadership
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, membership recruitment, or relationship management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
  • Familiarity with Hunterdon County’s business community is a plus
  • Comfortable with commission-based compensation and goal-oriented work
  • Passion for supporting local businesses and community organizations

Compensation & Schedule

  • Commission-based compensation (details discussed during the interview process)
