Rise and shine early for one of our most beloved birding adventures! Sussex County offers fantastic opportunities to spot northern nesting birds such as the Scarlet Tanager, Cerulean Warbler, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Northern Raven. We’ll explore parts of Stokes State Forest and High Point State Park during peak morning hours—prime time for birdwatching. Expect moderate walking and unforgettable views. Don’t forget: we’re hitting the road early to catch the best of the bird world in action! Please bring a bagged lunch. Binoculars are available to borrow if needed.
