Journey underground on a guided walking tour of Sterling Hill Mine, traveling 1,300 feet through historic tunnels dating back to the 1830s. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the mine’s geology, history, equipment, and working conditions. We’ll visit the lamp room, shaft station, and other fascinating areas before enjoying our bagged lunch at the mine (a snack bar is also available). Then, we’ll explore the Skylands Museum of Art, featuring an eclectic collection of sculptures and paintings that celebrate the imagination and creativity of artists from around the world. Bring a bag lunch and drink.
