One Way Hikes
One Way Hikes
Monday, January 13, 2025 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EST)
Description
Ages: Adult Cost: $12 Instructor: Tom Sheppard, Chief Park Naturalist Many of the County Parks have trail stems that do not avail themselves to circular hiking routes. However, these stems offer a chance to explore some of the lesser known corners of the parks. Join us for a series of one-way hikes through these less traveled paths. Hikes will be moderately difficult and can require wet foot crossing, walking through knee high vegetation, crossing uneven stone fields, as well as slopes. Enrollment will be limited since a shuttle will be used to transport the group from our gathering point to the starting point of our hike. Each hike will be 2 to 3 miles, time is a general estimate, and we may finish before the stated time. Please dress appropriately for weather and ground conditions, bring a snack, and at least a quart of water.
