Description

Ages: 12 through Adult | All children must be accompanied by an adult that is also registered for the program.

Instructor: Laura Bush, Principal Park Naturalist

On a blistering hot day on June 28, 1778 the land that is now Monmouth Battlefield State Park was the site of one of the longest battles of the American Revolutionary War.  Join us for a tour of the battlefield! We will enjoy a 10-minute film introducing the battle and have some time to explore the visitor center. Then we will do a 1.5- mile guided walk with a State Park Historian around the battlefield which is rated moderately difficult due to an uphill at the end. After a picnic lunch, we will enjoy a hands-on program on military drills and weapons. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a bagged lunch and water.
