Dennis has surveyed over 4 counties in New Jersey and has discovered more than 250 kinds of lichen growing in Hunterdon County, including species that have never been documented. Join us tonight to learn about these fascinating and ecologically important organisms. We will begin with a brief introduction to lichens—what they are and how they live—followed by examining samples that Dennis has brought to share with us.
