Description
Ages: 10 through adult | All children must be accompanied by an adult also registered for the program. Instructors: Debra Reed, Park Naturalist and Patrick Eckard, Recreation Program Coordinator Discover the natural beauty of High Point State Park while gliding on skis or snowshoeing. The view from High Point Monument, at 1,803 feet above sea level, is a spectacular panorama of rich farmland and forest, soft hills and lush valleys in three states. It is one of most beautiful places in the northern part of the state. High Point is an alpine hollow of lakes, trees and sweeping vistas. Come dressed to be outdoors for the day. No experience is necessary but be aware that snow activities can be strenuous. Bring a bag lunch. Skiing and snowshoeing are weather dependent; the trip will become a guided day hike if there is no snow on the ground.
