Homeschool: Screech Owls Exploration

Join our Homeschool Nature Program for a monthly dose of outdoor education and exploration! In each session, your child will immerse themselves in a new and exciting nature topic, fostering curiosity and a deeper connection to the natural world. 

Learn the proper etiquette for owling as we focus on the fascinating Eastern Screech Owl. We’ll take a quiet walk into the park’s interior and attempt to call to these elusive birds, listening carefully for their reply. If we’re lucky, we may even catch a glimpse, though sightings are never guaranteed. Participants should not bring flashlights or headlamps; red lights will be provided for the brief walk along Sunnyside’s wide, flat trail. This program is only for registered participants and their guardians, no additional siblings are permitted.
