Guided Highlands Trail Hike (Part 2)

Ages: 12 through Adult | All children must be accompanied by an adult that is also registered for the program.

The Highlands Trail spans more than 180 miles across New Jersey and New York, connecting existing and new trails. For this hike, we’ll meet at Tower Hill Reserve and follow the wooded connector trail to Jugtown Mountain Preserve, then walk one mile along Tunnel Road to NJ Audubon’s Deerpath Sanctuary. Our shuttle will meet us on Turkey Hill Road for a return ride. This 4.5-mile hike features woods, fields, rocky terrain, and some wet areas. Naturalist Laura will share fascinating nature facts along the way. Bring at least a liter of water, snacks, and consider wearing orange.
